I have joined #TeamRedCross to ensure that they can help anyone, anywhere in the UK and around the world, get the support they need if crisis strikes.

From the vital work they do to support communities in the United Kingdom, to the aid they are providing to the people of Turkey and Syria following the devastating earthquakes, the British Red Cross plays a crucial role in responding to emergencies.

The money that is raised helps their resource centres do what they do, like this one in Hackney, London that made more than 19,000 food deliveries to people in need during the pandemic and helped over 8,000 people home from hospital. 

It could go towards their work supporting the NHS in this difficult time, or to help reunite families that have been torn apart by conflict and disaster.

I have always wanted to take part in the London Marathon after competing in other marathons in recent years, such as the Manchester and Blackpool marathons. I also ran a marathon in my living room during lockdown.

To represent the British Red Cross, who are the the official charity partner for the EFL, is an honour and privilege for me and I am determined to help them raise as much funds as possible so that they can continue to support people in the UK and overseas.
